The Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands of amazing scenery. This tropical country is full of rich culture and arts as well. In fact, many tourists all over the world choose the Philippines over other countries because the country has indeed have a lot to offer when it comes to sightseeing. Here are the top 5 must see places in the Philippines!

Top 5: Mayon Volcano

The Mayon Volcano is 8,000 feet tall and is located in the province of Bicol. What makes this volcano so wonderful to the sight is its perfect cone shape. Is it active? Yes, it is the most active volcano in the Philippines and has erupted 49 times in the last 400 years. But, of course, this won’t stop tourists from coming in. In fact, the local tourism industry is making a lot of profit from this by providing fun activities such as climbing, camping, photography and many more.

Top 4: Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera is just located south of the capital of the Philippines, Manila City. This is one of the favorite go-to’s because of their well taken care of beaches. Moreover, this is a great place for those of you who want to try out diving. There are great shopping spots right here and both the young and the young at heart will enjoy the night life here as well. Beach partying at it’s finest!

Top 3: Chocolate Hills

The famous chocolate hills are located in Bohol. This site to see is an unbelievable one because it is made up of 1,268 hills scattered in one area. They are covered in rich green grass but whenever the dry season arrives, the hills turn to brown hence the name. There has not been any proof on how these hills came about. Go ahead and visit and make up your theory.

Top 2: Tubbataha Reef

This beautifully preserved reef is located in the Sulu Sea. It is approximately miles deep and it is one, if not the most, popular diving sites in the Philippines. The coral walls are very beautiful and there is a lot of spaces to explore. During some times in the year, the waves are quite crazy. It is best to book your stay during April until June when they are still quite calm.

Top 1: Puerto Princesa Underground River

This is located near the famous Palawan beaches. There is a natural underground river which is the world’s largest. There are boat tours available. Accommodation won’t be a problem as well because this place is very famous and there have been many hotels developed around it.
